CURRICULUM VITAE

lurie Alexandrovici Canaşin s-a născut la 27 septembrie 1939 la staţia "Raceika", raio-nul Sîzran, regiunea Nijnii Novgorod.

A absolvit în 1962 Şcoala de Arte Plastice "Repin" (azi Li-ceul de Arte Plastice "A. Plămâdeală") din or. Chişinău. în 1968 a absolvit Şcoala Su-perioarâ de Arte Plastice din Moscova (fosta Stroganov). începînd cu anul 1962 parti-cipâ regulat la expoziţiile re-publicane, unionale şi la unele expoziţii de artă plastică de peste hotare.

în 1974--1979 este director al Şcolii Republicane de Arte Plastice "Repin". în aceşti ani participâ activ la cinci simpo-zioane internaţionale în prob-lemele sculpturii (lugoslavia, Ungaria, Letonia, Moldova), obţine o serie de premii repub-licane şi internaţionale în do-meniul sculpturii. în 1981 i se conferă titlul de Laureat al Premiului B. Glavan al comsomolului din Moldova. în 1985 1 se conferă medalia de argint "M. Grekov" a Mi-nisterului Culturii şi a Uniu-nii Artiştilor Plastici din U.R.S.S.

în 1978 Secretariatul Uniunii Artiştilor Plastici din U.R.S.S. îl decoreazâ cu o Dip-lomă.

în 1987 lu. Canaşin este ales secretar al Comitetului de Conducere al Uniunii Artiştilor Plastici din Moldova.

în 1990 Comitetul de Conduce-re al Uniunii Artiştilor Plasti-ci din Moldova îl propune pentru titlul onorific de "Ma-estru în Arte".

Sculptorul lu. Canaşin a parti-cipat la o serie de expoziţii in-ternaţionale: România, lugoslavia, Polonia, Bulgaria, Ungaria, Cehoslovacia, Franţa, Germania, India, Mon-golia şi din alte ţâri. lu. Canaşin a prezentat trei expoziţii personale — în India şi în Moldova.

Lucrările maestrului se află în colecţii de stat şi particula-re în Moldova, Ucraina, Rusia, România, Polonia, Ce-hoslovacia, Israel, Anglia, India, Italia, Japonia, S.U.A. şi alte ţări ale lumii.
